About Ready For Them

Ready For Them is a bilingual (English/Spanish) pet financial-readiness platform. We publish plain-language guidance on paying for veterinary care, and we offer free tools — including the Ready Score and Vet Bill Stress Test — that help you see how prepared you are for an unexpected vet bill. Ready For Them does not issue insurance, extend credit, provide veterinary care, or enter into a financial contract with you.

Your use of the assessment

The Ready Score is a directional result based on the answers you provide. It is not a guarantee that funds, financing, insurance, or veterinary treatment will be available when needed. You remain responsible for checking amounts, policy terms, eligibility, costs, and provider requirements before you rely on them.

Affiliate relationships and compensation

Ready For Them may feature links to pet insurance, financial, or other third-party products and services. If you click one of these links and take an action such as requesting a quote or purchasing a policy, we may earn a commission. This comes at no additional cost to you.

We only feature partners and products we would genuinely consider for our own pets. Compensation never changes the independent Ready Score, the conclusions in our Learn articles, or the order in which we present information. Any paid link is clearly labeled as a partner resource near the recommendation.

Email and communications

When you request a Ready Plan, send us a message, or otherwise provide your email address, we use it to deliver exactly what you asked for. If you check the separate, optional box to receive occasional practical pet-readiness tips, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every such email — leaving it unchecked, or unsubscribing later, never affects delivery of anything you specifically requested.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Ready For Them's tools and offerings evolve. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version.

Ready For Them does not provide veterinary, insurance, legal, tax, investment, or individualized financial advice. The assessment, Ready Plan, and Learn articles are educational starting points, not a substitute for advice from qualified professionals who understand your specific circumstances.

Medical decisions come first

If a pet may need care, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary provider right away. Do not delay urgent care because of information shown on this site. Ask the veterinary team what is urgent, what can safely wait, what treatment may cost, and when payment is due.

Insurance and third-party services

Coverage, exclusions, waiting periods, reimbursement, pricing, eligibility, and availability vary by provider and change over time. Verify all claims directly with the provider before choosing or purchasing any product. Ready For Them is not responsible for the terms, accuracy, or performance of a third-party service, including any partner we may feature.

Questions or corrections

We work to keep every article accurate and current, but we're a small team and we do make mistakes. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, please let us know — we read and act on every correction request.

Privacy and analytics

Your choice comes first

Ready For Them does not load Google Analytics or Umami until you choose "Allow analytics." Choosing "No thanks" keeps both services off. You can reopen this choice at any time from the footer link below.

What we measure

If you allow analytics, we may record page visits and named interactions such as starting or completing the Ready Score, opening a Ready Plan, or selecting a clearly labeled partner resource. We do not intentionally send your pet's name, email address, exact financial answers, or Ready Score as analytics event data. This data helps us understand which questions and tools are actually useful, so we can improve them.

What stays in your browser

Your assessment answers are stored only for your current browser session — we don't save them on our servers. Your analytics preference is saved in your browser so we can remember your choice.

Ready Plan email

Requesting a Ready Plan email is separate from analytics consent. The delivery includes your email address and a limited summary — pet name, breed, Ready Score, pressure point, and leading plan category. It does not include exact account balances. Occasional marketing email requires the separate optional checkbox described above; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Contact form

When you send us a message through our contact form, we use your name, email address, and message only to read and respond to you. We don't add you to any mailing list from a contact form submission, and we don't share this information with anyone outside Ready For Them.

Affiliate links

If you click a partner link featured on Ready For Them, that partner may set its own cookie or otherwise track the referral so they can credit us for the introduction. That tracking is governed by the partner's own privacy policy, not ours — we encourage you to review it before proceeding.
